My name is Crystal Nwaneri. I am a Senior studying Communication at Stanford. I’m originally from a small suburban town outside of Baltimore, Maryland. During high school, I spent hours pondering my life a midst the library books in which I worked, never guessing where higher education would take me. I gained a rare opportunity to change my life and move out to California to study. Ever since I started college, I’ve fallen more and more in love with technology and how it’s changing society. Since I’ve come to Stanford, I’ve learned to channel my love of technology, culture, and social interaction through a new medium: blogging. This site acts as a showcase and portal for my work around the web. My interests include social and digital media, reading, writing, video games, and graphic design. I write for The Unofficial Stanford Blog. On this site, my primary focus is on student life, news and Stanford culture. I’ve covered a wide range of topics, from speakers and performances, to Youtube videos showing off talent on campus.
This is my personal blog, focusing on my thoughts about the cross between culture, society, technology, and social media. Besides being a place where I share my concerns about what people give and take from technology, I hope the site can act as a place where people from my generation think about the online products they use rather than just consume them.
